The Euroacque EURO/LOTUS AIR/10/B is an automatic chlorine dioxide (ClO₂) generator designed for professional disinfection of potable water and water systems. It autonomously produces, doses and controls chlorine dioxide, one of the most effective disinfectants available for the prevention of Legionella pneumophila, disinfection of water distribution networks and biofilm control. Made in Italy by Euroacque, manufacturer since 1978.

Operating Principle

Chlorine dioxide is produced through the controlled reaction between dilute hydrochloric acid (HCl 9%) and dilute sodium chlorite (NaClO₂ 7.5%) inside a dedicated reaction chamber. The process operates in batch mode: the produced solution is stored in an internal tank and dosed into the water flow proportionally to the volumetric flow rate measured by the connected pulse output meter. Proportional dosing ensures a constant and precise ClO₂ concentration in the water system, regardless of flow rate variations.

Important Notes

Dosing systems to prevent Legionella are part of a good risk reduction strategy but do not alone, and without maintenance, guarantee complete resolution of the problem. An integrated Legionella risk management programme is required.

Must be used with a pulse output flow meter (Euroacque CONTO series) for flow-proportional dosing.
